a day at the park

saturday morning's walk to the coffee shop was a bit nippy, but by the time we headed back, the sun had risen a bit more and started to pull the chill out of the air. so once we got home, we decided to pack up the little one, change out the attachments on the jogger and ride the bike over to city park and then take a quick trip to the zoo.
as we headed out, we made a slight adjustment to the trailer and added a small pillow behind wen bin's back so he massive helmet he rolls with doesn't push his head forward. this proved to be a good fix, as he could hold his head upright and look around at the passing scenary. of course, after about four or five blocks, he was out cold, taking his late morning/early afternoon nap.
so p and i took our time and rolled down montview to city park... then took a lap around the criterium course before heading to a pond to soak up some sun and eat cookies.
once boo woke from his nap, we headed to the playground. for some reason boo didn't feel much like climbing around and playing; instead, he took off walking around the playground and just enjoying the grass under his feet.
after about a half hour, we rolled off to the zoo. after looking at the sleeping lions, big cats and various other sleeping animals, boo lead us around walking randomly down the paths.
due to time constraints, we cut short boo's exploration of the zoo, packed him up and rode the bikes back home. by this time, the sun was beatin' down on my baseball hat! boo was in a short sleeved shirt, and p had shed a layer.
hopefully this weekend will be a three day affair for me and we can have at least one day to enjoy as we did this past saturday.
