snugli

my friend brittany and her parents sent p and i a snugli when they found out we were pregnant. a few weeks after aiden was born, p took him out in the snugli. yesterday, it was my turn to throw him in the snugli and take a walk. i got home from work around 1230pm and we left the house around 2pm, had a great lunch at the chophouse and then continued walking with aiden for another two hours. all in all, we were out for four hours; 3.5 hours of sleep for the little guy.

grandparents

a week after aiden was born, my parents came out to visit and help out with the newborn. it is customary for Chinese families to have the grandparents help for a month; and within this first month, the mother has a fairly lengthy list of things she can and can’t do. we didn’t follow any of them, but p did get quite a bit of rest since my mom would grab aiden and burp him the second p was done feeding. it was quite nice for her to get the help. a week after my parents came, p’s parents came and help cook and clean… and two weeks later, we were left to ourselves to care for the baby… and now it’s been yet another week since I’ve had the chance to dl and post pictures.

i realized a week or so ago that i never posted a picture of gretchen, the gal who helped with the delivery. so, i'm posting it now, along with photos of visitors we've had over the first three weeks of aiden's life.
