packin' on the ounces

so it's natural for a newborn to loose a few ounces after birth. from birth to discharge from the hospital (3 days time), apk lost eight ounces; then, at our first pediatrician's visit, we discovered that he lost another 5 ounces. a bit worried, we were told to supplement the breast milk with formula and to come back monday and weigh him again. monday afternoon p took the little one for a drive and called me excited to have learned that apk has gained 8 ounces back to top the scale at 6 lbs, 5 oz.
